This is the right step in the right direction. But my fear is the ministry of petroleum resources or DPR hasn’t academicians that will direct the petroleum engineering education properly.
Nigeria has its peculiar inherent issues when it comes to the management of things. MOney will be mismanaged, nepotism, and whatnot.
Nevertheless, this step is overdue and I believe we have to start somewhere. SO this is a good beginning. Let us start thinking about how to tackle the issues mentioned above.
